Kranji War Memorial. A place so peaceful and under the backdrop of the blue sky- it was tranquil. And yet under the very soil i stood on and where thousands of tombstones sat, this place housed the very history of chaos. The history of man’s greed and the souls of those who had sacrificed all they had. Their lives.

It’s amazing how such a place had allowed me to feel so free-spirited. How these souls that laid rest here had an indirect contribution to the life that I now live.

This is Kranji War Memorial, where 4,458 brave men lay at rest.

Yesterday marked the very last booking out my company would have, before our long awaited Passing Out Ceremony. So today, for the first time, my platoon mates hung out- playing basketball (which I’m terrible at) and a short session at the nearby (Kembangan Community Centre) Lan Shop playing a War Craft game, Run Kitty Kat. Albeit the crazy screaming and the $3 fee, it was a load of fun.

Initially, I made my way to Labrador Park after the outing to (possibly/hopefully) catch the sunset there on my camera. But the rain beat me to it. I found myself at Keppel Bay after the rain had subsided, and took this picture. It has been HDR-processed and I guess I’m slowly getting a hang of this now.

This is Ian signing out.
